Elon Musk’s Neuralink can ‘read’ a rat’s brain
Elon Muskâs ambitious brain-computer interface company, Neuralink, finally told us today what itâs been up to. As per Bloombergâs report, it can âreadâ a ratâs mind with the help of tiny electrodes implanted into the animalâs neurons and synapses.Â
The company plans to seek approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) next year to start trials on humans.Â
The company was founded in 2016, but there was little information available on its inner workings up until now. In April 2017, in a lengthy piece on Wait But Why, Musk said the company will work on connecting brains to a computer.
